NL Hold’em Poker- Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five in which he enjoyed gambling on various card games at a young age. He discovered himself getting very aggressive in these card games while competing against his father. After finishing Sr. High school, Howard decided to place higher education on hold for a little bit and moved to New York City to compete in some big-time chess. While competing in chess, he was brought in to a poker game going on in the back of the room. Howard’s 1st two years were rough as he played countless hours and do not win most times. He earned some additional money by being an assistant for the poker players. He judged he could better his game by analyzing his life outside of poker. He made an effort to acquire more sleep and concentrate even more on poker.
The actual advancement in his abilities happened when he started betting at the Mayfair Club in New York City. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the best gamblers would frequently challenge each other. He was able to access some of the greatest minds in chess. With their help, he would tweak his cunning thinking techniques. He used these strategic ideas in the game of NL texas hold’em.
He also helped his sister Annie Duke learn the game of poker. She was a great student of the game as she constantly asked questions about the right way to make the correct choice. He told Annie to head out to Sin City and play in the World Series of Poker tournaments. Annie is one of the strongest female players the poker arena today. Howard Lederer relocated to Vegas in Nineteen Ninety Three and competed in money games for the next decade. When the WPT gained popularity, he decided to play more tournaments.
